What is WisoCare?

WisoCare is an iPhone app for keeping track of your skin and your skincare routine. It does four things: it measures your skin, builds a routine that fits, checks whether a product suits that routine, and answers your questions.

• Measure: Take three quick front-camera shots: straight on, turned right, turned left. Wiso reads your forehead, both cheeks, nose and chin separately for redness, shine, pigmentation and a visual moisture estimate. Instead of a single grade, each measurement gets a level word such as “Very Good”, “Medium” or “Prominent”.
• Plan: Morning and evening steps for your skin type, goals and lifestyle, with how much to use, where and in what order. It flags ingredients that shouldn't be used together.
• Scan: Scan a barcode, photograph the ingredient list, search by name or paste the list to see the actives, what sensitive skin watches for and any clashes with your routine. No scores, no “good or bad” verdicts.
• Ask: Ask Wiso about an ingredient, your routine or your last analysis from the Wiso button on the home screen, in one of four conversation tones.

When you first open the WisoCare app, you pick one of three paths: “I want to build a skincare routine”, “I already have a routine, want it analyzed” or “I just want to track my routine”. Who makes WisoCare?

Alperen Kurbetci, an independent app developer in Istanbul, develops and publishes WisoCare. He is also the app's data controller; his name and address are listed in the Privacy Policy.

The App Store shows the seller name “Alp Kurbetci”; both names belong to the same person. He is also the author named on this site's pages.

What principles does WisoCare follow?

WisoCare follows four principles: your photo stays on your phone, it offers guidance rather than diagnosis, you stay in charge, and it shares the open-licensed part of its product catalog with everyone.

Your photo stays on your phone

Your phone does the measuring; the photo is deleted as soon as it's done and is never uploaded to a server. With your permission, your skin metrics and the information you choose to share in the app (never images) go to the AI to produce your guidance. That's why we don't say “fully anonymous”; the full list is in the Privacy Policy.

Skincare guidance, not diagnosis

No condition labels: Wiso tells you what it measured, zone by zone, in plain words. The AI's job is to explain what was measured, not to measure, so the numbers aren't made up. Measurements are for tracking trends, not a clinical evaluation. If you have a concern about your skin, see a dermatologist.

You stay in charge

Wiso suggests, you shape your routine. If a finding doesn't match your skin, tap “I do not see this on my skin” to remove it. You can switch off the AI permission anytime, and routine tracking keeps working. No account is required, and you can delete your data inside the app.

Open catalog data

Part of WisoCare's product catalog comes from Open Beauty Facts contributors. The database derived from it is free to download under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0, as one zip file at wisocare.com/data. Ingredient function data comes from the European Commission's CosIng inventory.

Is WisoCare the same as WiseCare, WizeCare or WISO?

No. WisoCare is not affiliated with WiseCare, WizeCare or WISO. “Wiso” is the name of the app's panda character, not a separate product or company.
